For your info, Sayadaw Nandamala wil be coming with Sayalay Yuzananyani and one lady kappiya Lei Lei Khin. They are arriving on 20 Oct and leaving on 31 Oct 08 by 5.35pm flight from KLIA.

DETAILS OF THE COURSE

Venue: Bodhiyarama Hermitage Kuala Kubu Bahru
Medium of instruction: English
Cost: RM8/- per day
Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided based on retreat’s schedule. For participants not observing 8 precepts, light refreshments (biscuits, bread or cereal & drinks) will be provided in the afternoon and/or such participants may go out for dinner as self-cooking is not encouraged.
Note:
Places are limited to 60 persons only. Registration is subject to availability and preference given to those who intend to stay for the full course.

About Sayadaw Dr U Nanda Malabhivamsa
Sayadaw Dr. U Nanda Malabhivamsa was born in Myanmar on 22 March 1940 and was ordained as a Novice Monk at the age of 10. At 16, he was conferred Dhammacariya (Teacher of the Dhamma) by the Government of Myanmar and at 21, he was conferred Abhivamsa (higher lineage). In 2000, he was conferred the title Aggamahapandita (Senior Scholar) by the Government of Myanmar.
He obtained his M.A. degree from Kelaniya University, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Ph.D from Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya, Vihar, India.
Sayadaw Dr. U Nanda Malabhivamsa is one of the founders of Buddhist Teaching Centre, Maha Subhodhayon in Sagaing, Myanmar, where about 200 monks receive education in Buddhist Philosophy and Buddhist Literature annually.
In 1997 he was appointed the Rector of the Sitagu International Buddhist Academy in Sagaing. He was appointed the Rector of ITMBU in 2005.
Since 2003, he regularly travels to Europe to conduct Abhidhamma courses.
